Larry J. VanMersbergen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Illinois State University,a Master's Degree in Education from National Louis University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. He is a member of the National Guitar Education Team, American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, Music Educators Naitonal Conference, the Technology Institute for Music Education, the American String Teachers Association, and the Illinois Principals Association. He has taught guitar programs at Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire, IL, VanderCook College of Music, Chicago, IL, and Old Orchard Junior High School, Skokie, IL and has advised on programs for school districts throughout Illinois. He continues to be an active and popular guitar clinician in the State of Illinois and is an approved provider of Professional Development Credits (CPDU's). Larry has contributed guitar ensemble literature to Class Guitar Resources, Inc, and has published a book called Guitar Chord Changes Made Easy which is currently available on Amazon.com and at J.W. Pepper.   Larry Currently teaches orchestra for School District 89 in Glen Ellyn, IL and private instruction in the Aurora, IL area. Larry serves in an administrative capacity as Director of National Communications for the Guitar Education Team.
